Welcome our new album

Mallorca has over 250 beaches and coves - a true Mediterranean paradise where every corner reveals a bit more of the magic that makes our island so special. Here, the coast is part of everyday life, and we love spending the afternoon by the sea, enjoying that Mediterranean lifestyle. If you’re staying at MHouse, you’ll be right in the heart of Palma’s old town, the perfect location for discovering the city, but also a great starting point for exploring the rest of the island. Want to spend a day at one of the famous beaches Mallorca is known for? Here we go!

3 beaches you can get to by bus from MHouse

We love making things easy for you. We want you to enjoy the hotel, our services, the city and everything Mallorca has to offer. And if you’re travelling without a car, this one’s for you. Here are our 3 favourite beaches you can easily reach by bus from MHouse.

1) Cala Estancia

Cala Estancia is a small white-sand beach in the Can Pastilla area. While this area is known for its waves, this cove is calm, perfect for a quick swim without leaving Palma. How to get there: Walk to bus stop ‘107-La Rambla - Via Roma’ (about a 5-minute walk from MHouse) and take line 35. In about 35 minutes, you’ll reach Cala Estancia (get off at stop ‘473-Cala Estància’). Ready for a beach day!

2) Illetas (Ses Illetes, Cala Comtessa, Illetas Militar)

If you want to fully immerse yourself in that Mediterranean mood, we recommend heading to Illetas. You’ll find three coves close to one another, with turquoise waters and a relaxed, more exclusive feel. First, there’s Illetas beach, home to ‘Balneario Illetas’, a beachfront restaurant with premium and standard sunbeds available for the day. To the right of the bus stop, you’ll find Cala Comtessa, a smaller cove with crystal-clear water. Above it you’ll find Beewi Illetas, a ‘chiringuito’ with views over the water. If you continue walking past Cala Comtessa to your right, you’ll find ‘Illetas Militar’ beach, which can’t be reached by car. It has both sandy and rocky areas and a beach bar with views called ‘Nanai Beach’. From MHouse, walk to bus stop ‘50-La Rambla - Via Roma’ and take line 4 to stop ‘93-Ses Illetes’ (approx. 45 minutes).

3) Cala Mayor

Located very close to Palma in a popular area, Cala Mayor is a wide, sandy beach with easy access (including disabled access). One of our favourite spots here is at the far end, where you’ll find a natural “rock pool”,  ideal for kids. To get there: Walk to bus stop ‘50-La Rambla - Via Roma’ and take line 4 towards Illetas. In just 21 minutes, get off at stop ‘66-Joan Miró - Aparcament dissuasiu’ and walk 2 minutes to the beach. If you want to eat there, check out Kokomo or Pelícano Beach, two beachfront restaurants.
